Did you know? In our operational phase, between September 2005 and June 2007, RESET worked with over 350 young people.
We are a national three-year partnership led by Rainer. RESET includes every Government agency with responsibility for the resettlement of young people as well as key national voluntary and community organisations. Here are some key facts which should give you a better idea about who we are and what we want to achieve.

Who's in RESET? Our partnership includes a diverse range of organisations and individuals. They include the Youth Justice Board for England & Wales, HM Prison Service, London Metropolitan and Greater Manchester Police Services, Youth Offending Teams (YOTs), Young Offender Institutions (YOIs) and local Connexions partnerships. During our operational phase to June 2007 RESET included:
- Resettlement Workers based in YOTs
- An Accommodation Manager
- A Resettlement Coordinator based in HM YOI & HMP Swinfen Hall
- Volunteer Mentors
- Family Mediation Specialists
Our Key Areas. RESET wants to have an impact on the resettlement of young people aged 15-25 up and down the country. During our operational phase, we worked directly with:
- 15 -18 year olds resettling in the London boroughs of Newham, Lewisham and Greenwich
- 15 -18 year olds resettling in the Greater Manchester areas of Rochdale, Oldham, Tameside and Stockport
- 18 - 25 year olds being released from HMYOI and HMP Swinfen Hall
- 17 - 18 year old young women being released from the Sir Evelyn Unit at HMYOI Cookham Wood in Kent
