Help & Advice

Getting back on your feet after a spell in custody isn’t easy and the first four to six weeks after release are critical. There are people who can help sort out your future. If you’re in a RESET pilot area then you should already be receiving our support, but whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales you should be supported by a Youth Offending Team, Youth Justice Team or Probation Service. Although we are concentrating on areas within London, Manchester and the West Midlands, RESET wants to change the way things are done across the UK and even in other European countries. We want to ensure young people get more help with their resettlement needs.

If you qualify for RESET you will get:

  • A resettlement worker who will help plan for your future - we know everyone’s different - so we put together a plan for every young person we work with
  • The chance to have a ‘mentor’ who’ll act as a ‘life coach’
  •  More support
  • The chance to have your say

Have a look at the mentoring section to see how RESET could give you extra support.
