We know that reconnecting with family is a major issue. There are organisations that can help - some of them are listed below.

Action for Prisoners’ Families is a national charity which helps families of prisoners

AFFECT is an organisation that helps families and friends of those facing possible “life” or long prison sentences 

Family Rights Group provides advice and support for families whose children are involved with social services

 Young Voice is a charity for young people looking at the problems and issues young parents face on leaving prison. They are looking for people to take part in a project, 'The Young Parents After Release Project'. Anyone interested should call the freephone no (0800) 652 4011.
